The trail starts in Queimadas, a small village known for its charming thatched-roof houses and beautiful gardens. The path is well-marked and easy to follow, taking hikers through a lush and verdant forest of laurel and heather trees. Along the way, hikers will cross several streams and small waterfalls, and pass by interesting rock formations and panoramic viewpoints.
The highlight of the hike is the stunning Caldeirão Verde waterfall, which is located in a deep and narrow ravine. The waterfall is around 100 meters high, and its crystal-clear water cascades into a turquoise pool surrounded by towering cliffs and dense vegetation. Hikers can relax and take a refreshing dip in the pool or have a picnic surrounded by nature’s beauty.
The trail to Caldeirão Verde is considered moderate in difficulty, and hikers should be prepared for some steep and rocky sections of the path. However, the trail’s stunning scenery and natural beauty make it a rewarding experience for any nature lover. The walk takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the pace and stops along the way.

• For cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the reserved time, 50% of the reservation value is charged;
• Children with ages between 0 - 12 years old, shall pay only 50% (half) of the total per tour. This fee will not be commissionable by the agencies or representatives;
• In order to warrant the safety and wellbeing of the clients (single or groups), they need to comply to the instructions given previously or during the tour by the Driver or Tour Leader, when such;
• Customers give all rights to Green Devil Safari, for audiovisual during the tour for advertisement / promotional;
• For your own safety, Green Devil Safari may change, postpone or cancel the walks with short notice. This will only happen due to adverse weather conditions, landsliding or other reasons beyond or control;
• Should you need to cancel your reservation, you will only be refunded, should your cancellation be made at least until 16h00 of the previous day of the tour/walk;
• Please prepare yourself with good walking shoes/boots and a warm coat (in case of low temperatures in the mountains);
• For full day walk, please pack a pic nic and water to take along, as such is not provided by Green Devil Safari.
