DESCRIPTION
Our first stop will be at Pico Areeiro, where we will enjoy the breathtaking views of the island from above the clouds. We will then make our way to Ribeiro Frio, a beautiful valley known for its trout hatchery and lush greenery. Here, we will take a short walk to Balcões, a scenic viewpoint overlooking the valley.
Next, we will head to the charming village of Santana, famous for its traditional thatched-roof houses. We will explore the village and learn about its unique cultural heritage, including the craft of thatching.
Our tour will continue to Faial, a small village with a charming chapel and a lovely square, here we find a glass bottom viewpoint at Guindaste. We will also visit Portela, a picturesque village known for its traditional agriculture and stunning views of the valley.
Next, we will make our way to the Ponta de São Lourenço, a rugged and dramatic peninsula that is a nature reserve. Here, we can admire the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Keep your eyes peeled for the unique flora and fauna that can be found in this area.
Our final destination will be the town of Machico, the second-largest town on the island and the site of the first Portuguese settlement. Here, we will visit the Chapel of Our Lady of Amparo, which offers spectacular views of the bay and the surrounding mountains. We will also explore the town’s historic center and learn about its role in the island’s history.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
- We are not be responsible for any valuables left in the vehicle;
- Pick up outside of Funchal / Caniço – extra fee (fuel tax) – contact us;
- For cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the reserved time, 50% of the reservation value is charged;
- Children with ages between 0 - 12 years old, shall pay only 50% (half) of the total per tour. This fee will not be commissionable by the agencies or representatives;
- In order to warrant the safety and wellbeing of the clients (single or groups), they need to comply to the instructions given previously or during the tour by the Driver or Tour Leader, when such;
- Customers give all rights to Green Devil Safari, for audiovisual during the tour for advertisement / promotional.
